Privacy Policy

Summary: NextTechRadar collects standard web analytics data and displays advertising to support free editorial content. We use Google AdSense, which may set personalised or non-personalised cookies depending on your location and consent. We do not sell personal data. You have full rights to access, delete, or opt out of data collection under GDPR and CCPA.

Information We Collect

NextTechRadar ("we," "our," or "the Site") collects information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide voluntarily: When you contact us via our contact form or email, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We do not store form submissions on our servers; messages are forwarded directly to our editorial inbox.
  • Automatically collected information: When you visit the Site, our servers and third-party analytics tools automatically collect certain information including IP addresses, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and time spent on pages.
  • Cookies and tracking technologies: We and our advertising partners use cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies as described in Sections 2 and 3 below.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like virtually all websites, NextTechRadar uses cookies — small data files stored on your device — to operate certain features, analyse traffic, and serve relevant advertising. We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly Necessary: Required for the Site to function correctly (e.g., session state, security tokens). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics: Used to understand how visitors interact with the Site. We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymised traffic data. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google through this service unless IP anonymisation is disabled (it is enabled by default on NextTechRadar).
  • Advertising: Used by Google AdSense and other advertising partners to measure ad performance and, where consent is given, to show personalised advertisements. See Section 3 for full details.

Web Beacons: Some of our pages and emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that allow us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages and for other related website statistics.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. See Section 9 for opt-out methods. Note that some features of the Site may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

NextTechRadar participates in the Google AdSense program and may work with other third-party advertising networks. These partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your activities on this and other websites to provide you with targeted advertising based on your browsing activities and interests.

DoubleClick Cookie: Google uses the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads on our site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DoubleClick cookie for interest-based advertising by visitingGoogle's Ads Settings.

NextTechRadar has implemented the following AdSense features where applicable:

  • Remarketing with Google AdSense
  • Google Display Network Impression Reporting
  • Demographics and Interest Reporting
  • Integrated services that require Google to collect data for advertising purposes

Along with third-party vendors, including Google, we use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to report how your ad impressions, other uses of ad services, and interactions with these ad impressions and ad services are related to visits to our site.

Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may also use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or to other websites. These third-party advertising networks are subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party ad networks whose ads appear on this site.

Log Files & Analytics

NextTechRadar follows standard industry practice of using server log files. Information inside log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and the number of clicks. This data is not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Site. Google Analytics collects standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous fashion. We do not make — and do not allow Google to make — any attempt to identify individual users from this data. The information generated by the Google Analytics cookie about your use of the Site is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

NextTechRadar participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that when you click certain links on our Site and subsequently make a purchase, we may earn a commission. These are known as affiliate links.

In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255), NextTechRadar discloses material connections between our editorial content and commercial relationships. Some of the links in our articles are affiliate links, meaning we may receive a commission — at no additional cost to you — if you choose to make a purchase through those links. Affiliate commissions do not influence which products we choose to review, our editorial opinions, benchmark results, or the conclusions we reach. Editorial decisions are made prior to and independently of any commercial arrangements. Affiliate links are added only after editorial content is finalised.

We also display paid advertising through Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks. Advertisements are clearly distinguishable from editorial content. Advertising revenue helps sustain the production of free, independent technical analysis on NextTechRadar.

The presence of advertising or affiliate links on NextTechRadar does not imply endorsement of the advertised product or service. All editorial coverage is independent and governed solely by the editorial standards described on ourAbout page.

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites not operated or controlled by NextTechRadar. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of every website you visit.

GDPR Rights (European Economic Area Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right of Access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
  • Right to Rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.
  • Right to Erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data under certain conditions.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data under certain conditions.
  • Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
  • Right to Object: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data under certain conditions.

Our legal basis for processing personal data is legitimate interest(for analytics and site operation) and consent (for personalised advertising where applicable). You may withdraw consent at any time; see Section 9.

CCPA Rights (California Users)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale: You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. NextTechRadar does not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

You have several options for opting out of data collection and personalised advertising:

  • Network Advertising Initiative (NAI): Opt out of participating NAI member networks atoptout.networkadvertising.org.
  • Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA): Use the DAA's opt-out tool atoptout.aboutads.info.
  • Google Analytics Opt-Out: Install theGoogle Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-onto prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete them at any time. Consult your browser's help documentation for instructions.

Children's Privacy

NextTechRadar is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately atcontact@nexttechradar.comand we will take steps to remove that information.
